What foundation do you think is the best?

hey everyone :)

i would like your opinion on the best type of foundation to buy...

i have very sensitive skin (i'm allergic to a lot!) but all of the foundations that i have had have not given me very good coverage at all.

what foundation do you think is the best?

i dont want it too heavy to make it look like im caked in makeup and i would like my skin to be able to breath.

but i would like it to improve the look of my skin and have better coverage - sometimes i may aswell not put any on at all!

i cant put a lot on (my skin reacts badly) so it needs to be good quality so i dont NEED to wear lots.

i would also like to be able to easily try it and buy it in the UK.

thats not an easy thing to answer as we cant see you skin, also everyone is sooo different, i love MAC foundations, but they dont suit everyone and im not allergic to anything so im lucky in that way, however my cousin loves bobbi brown makeup, then i have a friend who is also a makeup artist and she loves YSL, another of mine loves No. 7 it all depends, you have to shop around, and dont go for high end brands thinking it will work, they dont always! I have alot of drugstore products that work way better than anything from MAC or Nars or where ever, go to counters and stores, patch test abit on ur clean skin, and give it a few hours and see if it matches, works well with ur skin etc, do a test on abit of ur cheek, do NOT put it all over ur face! • Try MakeUpForever HD Invisible Cover liquid foundation - the coverage is good, and buildable.
  
  It feels so light on your skin too! It's available in a range of colors and I've heard it's good for sensitive skin.

• why don't you try mineral foundation like the No7 mineral range it is brill that's the one i am currently using x

• I have tried literally thousands of foundations and there is no way to say which one is the best. This is really depended to your skin tone and what kind of coverage or finish you are looking for. After trying thousands of high end products like Chanel, Georgio Armani and Make Up For Ever, I have to say that there is very little difference between the nowadays drugstore brands and high brands. I use Revlon Colorstay for oily skin becauce it stays on, it has a natural finish and it does not hurt my skin. If you can get your hands on this, I would highly suggest it to you as well.
• The one that you can literally throw at your face every single day and it works!!
  
  Go a wander around a good department store and get loads of free trial bits - try them over a couple of days and then make a choice. I use Esteee Lauder Double wear = works well for me, but you might find something else. Its worth paying more for a foundation that works everytime without fail than messing around with cheaper ones that might or might not be right!
• Revlon colorstay foundation.
  So long as you apply it with a wet sponge it wont look caked on, I like a natural look too.
  It lasts all day and I havent heard about it braking out many people.
  And you can get it at any boots or superdrug for around 12 pounds.
• olay touch of foundation. its a moisturiser and a foundation which will be good for your skin aswell and you never look caked in it, its really good. available from superdrug and wilkinson and im sure its in boots and most beauty stores
• i think the best is maybeline dream mouse matte

• my skin is super sensitive too, i use mac mineralized skinfinish natural. i put like a bit on with a big brush and it gives light coverage and its nice cuz its mineral
• I use Bourjois 10 hour sleep effect foundation and it lasts really well and also makes my face look fresher.
