Skin care is the first step to making your foundation to look good, I used to have quite dry and flaky skin. You need to make sure your using a cream cleanser, and a moisturizing lotion twice a day to help get rid of dryness also use an exfoliator once a week which will get rid of any dead skin.

I recommend using a liquid concealer, rimmel do a really nice liquid concealer i have forgotten the name but it is a little tube with a pink lid, you can use this to cover your redness and any blemishes or dark circles under the eyes.

Then i would use a tinted moisturizer, as it will moisturize the skin but can give good coverage. I have used lots of tinted moisturizers, and my favourite is actually a really cheap one, it is from Boots' natural collection and it gives good coverage but it moisturises the skin.

If you really want a foundation not a tinted moisturiser, I would try out Revlons colourstay foundation for dry skin it is really good. Also a cream foundation would be good, but make sure to use with a brush for good coverage. Stay away from powder foundations as these will really make the skin look dryer. You should look for some sort of moisturising foundation, or one made specifically for dry skin, I think Revlon do the best ones or MAC if you have enough money they are expensive but well worth it, the best foundation I've ever used.

Sorry I wrote so much, but I hope I helped!

  • I have sensitive skin and would be all red and blotchy from cheap make up but i went to a clinique counter and am using dramatically different moisturiser and they also have a redness relief cream (i havent used that though). It costs about €35-40, a lot of money but its well worth it!! and they usually do bonus time where you get a free make up bag and make up in it too. I use their foundation too but i think any type of foundation would be ok as long as you have your skin well moisturised, hope that helped!!
