Hey Aimee

You said that other makeup made you orange, so I assume you're referring to a foundation? If this is correct, I would actually advise you to stay away from heavy foundations at your age. You don't really need such heavy makeup on your face. A lighter alternative to even out your skin tone would be a tinted moisturizer. They make ones with light SPF protection to help prevent early sun damage and ones that adjust to match your individual skin tone better. Lots of different brands like Maybelline, Covergirl, etc. offer these and they aren't too expensive.

Also, I have really dark circles under my eyes as well and I use under eye brightener to lighten up these spots. These also come in a variety of tones to match your skin. It also either comes in a thicker consistency in a tube that looks like a lipstick tube or longer skinnier tubes of lighter coverage liquid makeup that you put on with a brush. Both work really well, it just depends on what kind of coverage you need!

Also a suggestion for your eyes, I would suggest some pretty browns. They would look more natural for your light skin tone and would work nicely with your blue eyes.

Hope I helped!!

  • Try a more natural look and don't cake it on look at sephora.com for starter kits take close to skin tone foundation and use a small brush and apply on freckles and under the eyes then with a bigger brush apply all over face over the eyes and about an inch under your shirt and all down your neck make sure you don't have spots that you didn't brush over good enough smile and go over dimples I recommend bare minerals there's a commerical on paid programming that has a good deal if it isn't too much
  • I am a firm believer in the bee luscious brand been using it on my clients for 4 years now with amazing success!

    Here is there FB

  • So I am guessing you proberly do not want to spend a fortune on your make-up am I right?

I reccommed going to Superdrug or Boots

In Boots you can get Your Most expensive like Chanel and Dior which im sure being new into make-up you wouldn't like to spend all you money on that,

So I would say go for Rimmel and Maybelline But If you really don't want to spend alot of money you could go for Miss Sporty, 17 and Natural collection

    MAKE-UP :

Foundation : Check out Maybelline Pure.Liquid.Mineral Its roughly about £7.99 But if You are American You can still get it over there but I am not sure how much , This will account for anything I Mention)

Concealer : This will hide dark circles and spots , You apply this under you foundation generally and you can get this in a liquid for, a mousse form or in a stick ( Like a Lipstick )

Powder : ( If you think this is nesscessary over your foundation ) , This will help keep your foundation on for longer , you can get this in a mineral form or in a "tub" form ( I don' know any other way to word it)

Eye Liner : Just a pencil in Black or Brown , when you get a little more confident you can try out new colours and a liquid liner aswell

Mascara : Choosing your mascara can be hard , I recommend Loreal telescopic , it is amazing

Blush : I do suggest you try out blush , you don't even have to try alot you can just put a little but on , in a soft pink or soft brown

    BRUSHES :

For your foundation , you can buy a brush , use your finger or use little sponges

Personally I use a brush but if you didn't want to spend alot of money, you can pick up maybe 20 sponges at a Pound/Dollar Store for a Pound or Dollar

For Blush , of corse a blusher brush

and for applying powder you can get another Blusher type brush or a Kabuki

    When Choosing foundation :

turn your arm around so that you are facing you wrist Dab a little bit on and blend if it looks the right shade get it if not try more , its tryal and error , so good luck . im sure your mum or friends can help you !
